At SCAN Health Plan®, we put our heart into helping people with Medicare stay healthy and independent—and have since 1977. That’s when a group of Long Beach senior activists got together, determined to improve access to the care and services they needed so they could stay as independent as possible. They brought together experts in medicine, gerontology, psychology and social services and formed the Senior Care Action Network, a not-for-profit health plan for people with Medicare.

Now known as SCAN, we are still dedicated to helping our members with Medicare live how and where they choose, with the assistance they might need as they get older.
