The UCI Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) is dedicated to the mission of “researching ways to make memories last a lifetime.”  To realize a world free of Alzheimer’s disease, UCI MIND is aggressively pursuing research into multiple factors that contribute to the development and progression of Alzheimer’s disease and related neurological disorders.  Our research forms the critical basis for developing effective new therapies and strategies to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.   At UCI MIND, we are engaged in:

  • Identifying lifestyle factors that promote wellness and successful aging
  • Conducting cutting-edge research into the basic mechanisms of disease
  • Translating research discoveries to the clinical setting
  • Providing community education and support

Internationally recognized, UCI MIND is Orange County’s only federally and state-designated Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.  As one of 29 NIA-funded centers in the country, UCI MIND is a leading national site for clinical trials.
