VA Long Beach Healthcare System (VALBHS) is one of the most diversified health care systems within the Department of Veterans Affairs. VALBHCS
includes the Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center located in Long Beach, California, and five Community-Based Outpatient Clinics located in the cities of Anaheim, Laguna Hills, Santa Ana, Santa Fe Springs, and Villages at Cabrillo in Long Beach. Also a part of VALBHCS is the Community Resource and Referral Center located in Santa Ana and provides VA and referral services to homeless Veterans throughout Orange County.
VALBHS provides comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, and extended care programs, including specialty programs for Spinal Cord Injury and Blind Rehabilitation. It employs more than 2,800 full-time employees, and is the health care provider of choice for more than 56,000 Veterans throughout the Long Beach and Orange County Communities. Active in both research and education, VALBHCS partners with universities and education centers across Southern California to fulfil the VA mission of training the newest generations of health care providers across the nation.
