Join us for a FREE Webinar that offers two (2) hours of continuing education for the following California Professionals: RCFE Administrators, licensed RNs and LVNS, LMFTs, LCWS, LEPs, LPCCs, and CLFPs.

Requirements for CE Credit: Participants must attend for a minimum of 120 minutes, have access to both audio and visual elements, respond to poll questions during the webinar, and return the completed course evaluation.

Course Description:
Join us for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day as we discuss curbing financial elder abuse. This course provides an in-depth exploration of the critical issue of financial elder abuse and equips students with the knowledge and tools necessary to identify, prevent, and address instances of financial exploitation targeting older adults. Participants will gain an understanding of the socio-economic factors and vulnerabilities that contribute to elder financial abuse and will be empowered to play a proactive role in curbing financial elder abuse through advocacy, education, and intervention efforts within their communities and professional spheres.

Course Objectives:
At completion of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Identify various scam techniques including Business Email, Impersonation, and Romance.
2. Report suspected fraud and scams to the correct authorities and channels.
3. Understand the methods that scammers use to trick potential victims.
4. Provide support and resources to individuals that are affected by scams

Alzheimer’s Orange County is approved to offer the following continuing education units:
CAMFT/BBS: Alzheimer’s Orange County (AlzOC) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs. AlzOC maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. Continuing Education Grievance Policy

The Education Department at Alzheimer’s Orange County is dedicated to providing quality, affordable continuing education to various professionals throughout the community. In an effort to meet the needs and expectations of our constituents, there is a process in place for a course participant who has a specific concern to voice his/her complaint.
Please submit any complaints in writing (postal letter or e-mail) within seven (7) days of the education event. Any complaints submitted will be handled confidentially. Continuing Education Certificates of Completion:
A certificate of completion will be issued to participants via e-mail within 10 days of the completed evaluation being received (if all other CEU criteria are met).
Certificates will only be awarded to participants who attend for the full two-hour conference. No partial CE credit will be awarded.
